A man charged in the hit and run death of 22-year old Brady Francis (of Elsipogtog First Nation) has been ordered to stand trial.
56-year old Maurice Johnson of Saint Charles appeared in Moncton court Monday with defence lawyer Gilles Lemieux where he waived his right to a preliminary inquiry scheduled for Monday and Tuesday of this week.
Judge Irwin Lampert said Johnson will stand trial in the Court of Queen’s Bench, but a trial date has not yet been set.
Johnson was charged in June with failing to stop at the scene of an accident involving bodily harm or death.
