MONCTON, N.B. – Residents of Moncton’s west end are getting anxious about the future of their neighbourhood.
In the area known as Acadia Park, 74 former military homes are sitting empty.
Moncton Ward 2 councillor Charles Leger says the uncertainty is worrisome.
“A lot of residents are nervous about what the future holds for their own property values.”
The federal, provincial and municipal governments get first dibs on the properties.
But federal officials recently extended a deadline to September 22nd to file expressions of interest.
