It’s past time the government stops dithering and starts making hard choices to balance the budget.
That’s according to the Atlantic Director of the Canadian Taxpayers Federation.
Kevin Lacey says the provincial budget comes out tomorrow, and he’s hoping for no tax increases and cuts to government spending.
“In the last decade the government has added $2.5 billion dollars in spending, yet our public services are still suffering. So spending more money hasn’t helped. To get the budget balanced, we have to control how much the government spends.”
Lacey says the Gallant government has spoken the rhetoric of change, and now it’s time to see those words put into action.
