Heading back to parliament Hill yesterday couldn’t have been easy for those who witnessed the terror on Wednesday this week, when a gunman shot and killed a Canadian soldier in front of the National War Memorial.
But MP for Moncton-Riverview-Dieppe Robert Goguen says despite the increased security, there was a heightened sense of collegiality amongst all MP’s.
He says , Everyone agreed that we are not going to be intimidated by these acts of terror.”
Goguen says this incident increases the importance of Remembrance Day because this is the next generation who will ensure our securities in Canada.
Canadian soldier, 24 year old Nathan Cirillo was the tragic victim of a shooting incident in Ottawa this week.
