Fundy National Park is in the spotlight today as The Honorable Rob Moore, Member of Parliament for Fundy Royal announced 4.1 million dollars in funding for them designed to support Canada’s National Conservation plan.
Minister Rob Moore also announced close to $5 million for infrastructure projects aimed at connecting Canadians safely to nature.
Parks Canada Representative Livia Goodbrand is excited the park will receive a 2.6 million dollar allotment for endangered Inner Bay of fundy Atlantic Salmon, and will be partnering with other groups to bring the conservation plans to a higher level.
Fundy National Park will also receive $1.5 million to improve the ecological integrity of Fundy National Park’s trail network, by reducing disturbances on trails, removing invasive plant species, and by engaging key stakeholders in the development of new trail initiatives.
Minister Moore added that with today’s investments in Fundy National park, we are helping to connect Canadians with nature.
