YWCA Moncton is offering the Rainbows program this fall to help foster emotional healing for anyone who has experienced a loss in their lives.
The free hope-based program provides support if you’re dealing with the loss of a loved one, divorce, separation or changing family dynamics.
YWCA spokesperson Alicia Duffy says several groups exist for different ages of children and adults.
“We know that there are not a ton of resources that exist for folks that are grieving and to have something that is really tailor-made for different age groups and for different folks is important,” she says.
The Rainbows program is guided by trained volunteer facilitators in which participants complete a personal journal with activities that allow time for reflection and discussion.
For those who want to learn more about the Rainbows program, an open house is being held Tuesday night (September 26) at 6pm at the YW Jean E.S. Irving Centre for Women and Children at 135 Kendra Street.
