Concerns have been raised by residents in Riverview on whether a popular public swimming pool had seen the end of days.
Following a public consultation with residents over the future of what is commonly known as Lions Park on Buckingham Avenue, minds were put at ease by Riverview’s parks director Gerry Cole.
Cole says he and Trace Consultants are looking at making the park more user friendly.
Lion Ken Gabbey Community Pool, often referred to simply as Lions pool, is the last remaining outdoor public pool in town and one of only three in Metro Moncton.
It sees about 4,000 to 5,000 users each summer.
