New Brunswick Manager of the Insurance Institute of Canada Monique Leblanc says you should always know what is in your insurance policy, in the case, disaster does strike, "Some people, they just look at the better price, and decide to purchase based on the cheapest price, but it's very important to understand what you are covered for and what you are not. If there's a chance that your house is in an area where there could be floods, make sure you're covered."
She says you should ask a lot of questions to find out exactly what you are covered for, "Not everyone can take an insurance policy and ready it top to bottom and understand everything that is in it."
