BIDDING CLOSED FOR THIS CHAIR. CHECK OUT OUR OTHER CHAIRS. THANK YOU
Michael Thonet sat at his tiny drawing board and painstakingly carved pieces of furniture from beechwood, then out of the blue he discovered a way to bend wood which he incorporated into his designs. With a flourish, this skilled craftsman created a simple but graceful chair that defies the laws of nature.
Today, artist Joni Fleck Andrews has taken us back to the 19th century to a more simpler time where wooden chairs were made to last, be remembered, and to be handed down from one generation to the next. This piece you see was painted using Cabaret FAT Chalk -Style paint; and was re-glued and finished to provide a burst of color to any space.
Today is your only day to own this chair and transport yourself back to that time where furniture is once again a conversation piece.
Habitat for Humanity believes in a world where everyone has a safe and decent place to live. We build strength, stability and self-reliance for low income families through affordable homeownership in southeastern New Brunswick.
