With the weekend weather forecast, a big crowd is expected to turn out to see the ice caves in Midland but there have been confrontations over who has the right of way on the trail to get there……..The hikers, skiers, snowshoers or the snomobilers.
Some people believe it’s a groomed ski and snowshoe trail but such is not case.
It’s a snowmobile trail, produced and maintained by the Millstream Valley Snowmobile Club.
In one incident, a ski pole was shoved in front of a snowmobiler.
Despite what the trailpeak website says, we’re told this is a snowmobile trail which means snomobilers have the right of way and pets have to be leashed and moved out of the way when a snowmobile approaches.
