Its “time change weekend”, as we turn our clocks ahead one hour Saturday night.
Its an indication spring may be not far away afterall.
This weekend is also an ideal time to change the batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.
Fire Marshall Harold Pothier says doing so might save your life.
He tells us: “There’s been many incidents that have occurred where a smoke alarm has been a contributing factor in the successful removal, evacuation, of the residents of the property and they got out safely.”
Pothier also says you should clean out any lint deposits in your clothes dryer vents.
The vents have been known to become clogged, overheat and cause a serious fire.
