It’s another snow day for students today, and it is bound to be another difficult day for motorists to get around.
Roads are not in the best condition, snow covered with icy spots, And the blowing snow advisory remains in effect for the region.
Poor visibility is expected throughout the day, as a low pressure system moves through the region. It will come with strong northwest winds of up to 60 kilometres an hour.
Conditions are expected to improve later today, but in the meantime, travel is expected to be hazardous in some areas of the province.
The Department of Public Safety’s Emergency Measures Organization is advising residents to wait until conditions improve before travelling.
