As summer winds down, the apple picking season kicks off.
Guy Gautreau is the organic and product development manager at Belliveau Orchards.
He says the warm and dry weather through the end of the summer means this is a great year for apples.
“We have over 20 varieties of apples, about half of them we’ve been harvesting so far, but others are just starting to ripen now,” says Gautreau.
Gautreau says for the Apple-U-Pick they have mostly Macintosh and Cortland apples available.
For the Apple-U-Pick, it’s open 9-6 Monday to Friday, 8-5 Saturday, and 11-5 on Sunday.
