Kub Kar rallies are a common event for the Cubs organization, but this year the St Michael’s Cubs pack decided they wanted to do something a little different.
They’re looking for corporate sponsorships.
Cub Scout Leader David Hackett says it’s great exposure, “The Cubs make a pine box racer, that’s basically what it is. It’s about eight inches long, and about three inches wide, and then they race it on our track. For the sponsorships, it’s $100 per car. You get to either design the car yourself or have a Cub design it for you, and have your logo on it. Once the race is over, you’re going to get the car back as a mounted trophy.”
All of the money raised will help to send the Cubs to camp this spring.
The Kub Kar race is being held on Saturday, March 19th.
