Artist Morgan MacDonald and the tri-communities are inviting residents to help create the permanent memorial honouring the three fallen RCMP officers.
Four public session will begin on February 17th in Moncton, Riverview and Dieppe.
During these sessions, residents will be invited to press their fingerprints in a wax mould which will become part of the monument.
And ideas will be sought to help fill the interpretive panels which will lead to the monument site along the riverfront near The Moncton Press Club.
School-age children are invited to join their parents for the sessions
The second anniversary of the Moncton shootings – June 4th, 2016 – will mark the official unveiling of the monument.
Public sessions have been scheduled in each of the three communities:
Dieppe City Hall on Wednesday, February 17 (4-7pm),
Riverview Town Hall on Thursday, February 18 (4-7pm),
St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church on Saturday, February 20 (10 am to noon; 77 Hildegard Dr.),
and Moncton City Hall on Monday, February 22 (4-7pm).
