Moncton is getting a new retail store in the early summer.
The Brick will be taking over the Sears Home store location on Trinity Drive.
That’s according to a news release issued by Sears.
Spokesperson Vincent Power says it’s up to The Brick as to whether current staff will retain their jobs after the switch.
He was optimistic however, saying it’s in the best interests of the brand to keep the staff in place.
Sears Canada announced back in January they were looking to reduce their number of stores, mostly by shuttering or handing off the Sears Home store locations.
