Approximately 1,200 employees are affected by a new collective agreement struck between the province and CUPE Local 1418.
Employees in many departments including social workers, probation and parole officers, and human rights officers will benefit.
They work mainly at the Departments of Social Development, Public Safety, Post-Secondary Education, Training and Labour as well as Tourism, Heritage and Culture.
The new four year agreement includes annual wage increases of 1%.
Human Resources Minister Denis Landry says this illustrates the government’s commitment to the collective bargaining process.
