A Moncton realtor is going to be on the HGTV show Humble Home Hunters tonight.
Mike Doiron with Exit Realty Associates says his boss told him about the casting call last year.
He was contacted by HGTV shortly after his application asking if he had clients looking for a house between $150,000 and $175,000.
“I did and actually my best friend at the time was engaged and he was looking for a home and so I sent them their information and they did an interview and they also got a part on the show,” says Doiron.
He says he showed his friends more houses than you can put into a 30 minute show.
“I showed actually about 12 to 15 homes and it came down to the bottom three so we went back and then this is when we brought all the cameras in and this was the three homes they were most interested in,” says Doiron.
He said with the average home price in Moncton at $168,000 it was easy to find his best friend and her fiancée a home for that price.
“You can still get a nice home in that price range and meet all their needs,” says Doiron. “They were looking for a three bedroom, one and a half bath with a nice backyard for a future dog and they also wanted a finished basement.”
The episode airs on HGTV tonight at 11 o’clock.
