A local MLA wants to see changes to an intersection where three people were killed and three others injured in a crash this week in Salisbury.
Ross Wetmore has approached the province with the hopes the Department of Transportation will consider installing rumble strips at Homestead Road and Route 112. He would also like to see the speed limits reduced as well.
22 month old Jace Daigle, his mother 24 year old Alesha Young, and 18 year old Teyanna Brideau were all killed in an accident between a pickup truck and car on Monday night.
A 24 year old man and 3 year old boy remain in hospital after suffering life threatening injuries.
Many comments have been posted to social media stating that this is a horrible stretch of road, with one person describing the intersection as a deathtrap. Others say it’s an areas where motorists travel far too fast.
Meantime, funerals for Daigle, and Young are planned for Monday in Moncton.
A funeral for Brideau will be held on Saturday in Salisbury.
