Poutine has become a Canadian delicacy and for first time ever this fall, Moncton will have its own poutine festival.
Co-founder Lori Yerxa says she was inspired by the success of the Fredericton Poutine Festival.
As for what tasty ingredients will be served up on the poutine, Yerxa says it’s totally up to the five vendors taking part.
“You know there are no barriers. It’s totally up to them. One of our vendors has confirmed that they are bringing three poutines and they sound pretty delicious,” she notes.
The five vendors will be the Pumphouse Brewery, Skipper Jack’s, Sports Rock, St. Louis Bar and Grill and Ed’s Sub.
The Moncton Poutine Festival will be held on September 17 with three sessions at the Crowne Plaza.
