The City of Moncton is mourning the death of a longtime City Councillor.
Friends and fellow Councillors have posted to social media today that Rene Pepsi Landry has passed away after a battle with cancer.
He was 79 years old.
Paul Pellerin posted “He passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family.”
He adds, ” The City has lost not only a Community Leader and Advocate; it has also lost a Great Friend. RIP Pepsi you will be missed.”
Landry was re-elected to Moncton City Council in Ward 4, in May of this year for a fourth term.
