The People’s Alliance of New Brunswick appears to be gaining ground across the province according to its party leader.
Over the last 8 to 12 months, Kris Austin says the party has seen real growth in terms of membership, finances, and donations.
Austin says the party seems to be gaining momentum with voters.
“I think it is mainly because of our message more than anything else. You know we believe in a common sense message. Look our province is frankly in the toilet and we have to do what we can to get it out economically,” he says.
Austin adds corporate welfare has to end, social policies over language must change and the overall size of government has to shrink before New Brunswick can succeed.
The People’s Alliance was formed in 2010 and Austin came close to winning the riding of Fredericton–Grand Lake in the 2014 provincial election, finishing second by only 25 votes.
