Codiac RCMP say 24 drivers have been ticketed in a crackdown on intersections in Greater Moncton.
Police also issued 18 written warnings to drivers for such infractions as failing to remove studded tires, expired vehicle inspections and not using a seatbelt.
Nine pedestrians also received written warnings for crossing an intersection on a “do not cross” signal.
The crackdown was carried out last Friday after complaints of drivers blocking intersections, not yielding to pedestrians and failing to obey traffic lights.
Police say intersections will continue to be closely monitored for the remainder of June.
