A Toronto based financial technology company is creating up to 125 new full time jobs for Moncton.
Premier Brian Gallant helped make the announcement this morning at the Dream Payments office on Main Street, “These are very high point technology jobs. We’re talking about Software Developers, Project Managers, and Quality Assurance Personnel. We want to have all types of jobs in the province and we think these are definitely jobs that will benefit our economy.”
The jobs will be created over the next four years and Gallant says they are expected to contribute $31.5 million to the province’s GDP.

Gallant says there are skilled workers in the province who can fill these jobs, but there are also training programs available as well, “There has been a massive investment in education and training for this very reason. To give New Brunswickers a chance to learn the skills that they need to access the workforce in emerging industries like Fin-Tech. We understand that here in New Brunswick we have the skills set that people need. We understand that is one of the reasons people are investing, because they see this as a great place to do business, that it is a great place to live and that we have a great workforce.”
He adds in an effort to grow the province, their doors are also open to welcome new skilled workers to New Brunswick.
To support the creation of these new jobs, Dream Payments is eligible for up to $2 million in support from Opportunities New Brunswick to cover costs related to relocating here and the remainder comes in the form of payroll rebates for each job created.
Dream payments enables financial institutions to provide point-of-sale solutions, B2B payments and commerce services for their business customers. They opened their Centre of Excellence in Moncton in July 2017, and they currently employ 13 people in their Main Street office.
