The Fredericton police are investigating after a parent reported finding a needle in a Halloween candy bar.
Police say the family told them they’d been trick or treating around their home off Kingsley Road before going to a community event in their area. Afterwards, they said they went to an area off Brookside Drive to keep trick or treating.
The family went to over 50 homes and police say it isn’t known yet where the incident happened.
Police say they haven’t received any more reports of any foreign objects found in candy and are asking parents to carefully check all their kids’ Halloween candy before letting them eat it.
If you have any information about this incident you are asked to contact Fredericton police or Crime Stoppers.
