A court appearance is scheduled November 27th for New Brunswick Southern Railway which is owned by J-D Irving for violating the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act.
According to Transport Canada, 24 violations with the transportation of oil occurred between November 3rd of 2012 and July 5th of 2013.
Irving Oil pleaded guilty to similar charges last week that stemmed from the investigation into the Lac Megantic train derailment back in 2013. Transport Canada says the violations did not contribute to the explosions that killed 47 people.
