A local teacher is being honoured for his work in promoting Canada’s history.
Armand Doucet, who is a teacher at Riverview High, will receive a Governor General History award.
Doucet was chosen in the Excellence in teaching category, that recognizes teachers who are leaders in the classroom.
Doucet is the only teacher who was chosen from New Brunswick.
He will receive his award from Governor General Julie Payette at Rideau hall in Ottawa on November 22nd.
