For those who have lived in the area for quite some time, visit the downtown, and you will notice a major transition.
Executive Director for Downtown Moncton-Centreville Inc Anne Poirier Basque says with the downtown events centre now closer to completion, people are really taking note of what Moncton has to offer, and they are making a move, “We have a new retailer and it is called My Home Apparel. She is from Truro and she was really excited to come to downtown Moncton because of the downtown centre.”
“There’s a lot of development, and a lot of buzz. They are anticipating more visitors, more people in the downtown, more traffic, so it is very encouraging, I have visited a lot through my conferences and travels. We have such a clean, beautiful downtown. It is peaceful here, and it is very secure. It is welcoming and we have a lot to offer, “Poirier-Basque says.
As work continues on the downtown events centre, more businesses are filling the empty shops, and several buildings are getting facelifts to help make the downtown more appealing.
