The Trudeau Government’s new housing strategy which promises the expenditure of $40 billion over 10 years is being called a breakthrough by the President of the Canadian Federation of Municipalities, Jenny Gerbasi.
The plan calls for the building of 100 thousand new affordable housing units along with repairing 300 thousand affordable housing units.The aim is to reduce chronic homelessness by 50 per cent.
