Food Depot Alimentaire has announced that 5,000 pounds of food was collected from the Tim Horton’s Food Drive during the Greater Moncton Santa Claus Parade.
Spectators were asked to bring along non-persishable food items on Saturday.
Several Tim Horton locations also conducted in-store food drives.
Food Depot president Dale Hicks says the value of the food amounts to more than $12,500.
This food drive is part of the 30 Days of Christmas Caring Campaign.
