Waking up this morning, New Brunswickers will note we’ve abruptly arrived in a winter wonderland.
Environment Canada meteorologist Mel Lemmon says we received an average of 15 to 20 centimetres of snow from yesterday afternoon through this morning.
“On the ground right now, it’s a little less at the airport, the snow is kinda wet and packed down a little bit, but you’re generally, probably looking at about 10 to 15 centimetres of fairly wet snow on the ground,” says Lemmon.
Lemmon says as the day moves on we’ll get some more flurries, then hopefully it’ll dry out before the temperature drops to minus 7 this evening.
