An actor best known for his role on the TV show MASH has died at the age of 75.
David Ogden Stiers joined the show in season 6, playing the role of arrogant surgeon Major Charles Emerson Winchester the 3rd until the finale in 1983.
On Twitter, his agent, Mitchell K. Stubbs confirmed Stiers died peacefully on Saturday of bladder cancer at his home.
Stiers was also famous for his animated voice work, with his most notable role the clock Cogsworth in Disney’s 1991 classic film Beauty and the Beast.
Starting in 1985, Stiers made the first of what would become eight Perry Mason movies, and did voiceover work for many different movies, TV shows, and video games.
Stubbs said Stiers’ talent was only surpassed by his heart.
