The first degree murder and arson trial for 22-year old Marissa Shephard is adjourned until tomorrow morning.
This comes after Defence lawyer Gilles Lemieux told the court he learned of a matter of law this morning that is critical and requires immediate attention.
He did not go into further details about the issue.
The Crown and Judge Zoël Dionne both agreed with Lemieux’s request.
Judge Dionne added Shephard and Lemieux were entitled to address the issue before it was made public in court.
Court resumes tomorrow morning at 9:30.
