Their campaign to attract the event officially kicked off today.
Work has been underway for sometime now getting the bid ready.
Bid Committee Chair Jacques Robichaud says it will be submitted in late June.
“Last year we put in easily about six months of work getting ready. So we have used a lot of what we prepared last year to get this bid ready again. But we’ve been working at it since the day we were informed that we didn’t get the 2019 Brier,” he says.
The Brier is one of Curling Canada’s most prestigious events attracting fans from all over the world.
Presale ticket packages are onsale now for $50.
Meantime, mayor Dawn Arnold says this event would be a major boost for our community.

She says in an effort to show Curling Canada that we want the Brier, placing that $50 deposit for tickets is imperative.
“The really important part of it is going to be for people to buy those pre-sale tickets. It’s an indicator how much our community is on board for this event,” she notes.
Mayor Arnold says she is very confident in the curling community to get onboard to help bring this event to the Hub City in March 2020.
