One man was injured, and a moose died in a collision on the Trans Canada Highway near the Scoudouc exit shortly after 10 last night.
Provincial RCMP spokesperson Corporal Dan Poirier says the vehicle was heavily damaged.
“The roof was taken off by the collision, the driver of the vehicle was injured by a piece of metal, and taken to hospital for precautionary measures,” says Poirer.
The Dieppe Fire Department also responded, and Captain Chris Leger says the driver was in relatively good spirits, considering the circumstances of the collision.
Leger added it’s quite common in collisions with large animals to see such extensive devastation to the vehicle, as the animals tend to crumple the passenger zone and roof areas.
