Just in time to kick off the 2018 summer visitor season, Kouchibouguac National Park is receiving $7.5 million in federal funding.
The money will be used to replace two bridges along Highway 117.
Parks Canada says the road is an important transportation corridor for both the local community and visitors to Kouchibouguac.
In addition, the funding will support conservation plans to eradicate invasive plant species in the park.
