The province is expanding its water testing for the upcoming swimming season.
This new protocol will now include eight provincial park beaches.
Parlee Beach – monitored daily
Murray Beach – monitored three days per week
Mactaquac – monitored two days per week
New River Beach, Mount Carleton and Oak Bay – monitored one day per week
Miscou and Val-Comeau – monitored once every two weeks
Water samples will be collected from five locations at each beach before being sent to the lab for analysis.
The results will then be reviewed by a medical officer of health to determine if the water is suitable for swimming…
Signage will be posted, and the beach status will also be posted online..
