So far this year, Canadian planes and warships have helped the United States Coast Guard seize approximately three thousand kilograms of cocaine.
On May 28th, a Royal Canadian Air Force CP-140 Aurora long range patrol aircraft helped with the tracking of a small boat suspected of smuggling drugs in the eastern Pacific ocean.
810 kilograms of cocaine were seized from that vessel alone, with HMCS Whitehorse, and Edmonton having participated in several other seizures in the previous two months.
