A Moncton McDonald’s franchisee has been awarded the company’s highest honour at the global level.
Chantal Cormier has received the Fred L. Turner Golden Arch Award which recognizes franchisees who have demonstrated dedication to their guests, employees and communities.
Cormier is a longtime supporter of various charities including as a board of director of Ronald McDonald House.
She says her biggest inspiration is her father, a former franchisee in Campbellton, who told her McDonald’s is a people business, not a burger business.
Less than one percent of McDonald’s franchisees earn this honour of a lifetime and Cormier was one of only two Canadian restaurant owners who were recognized.
