A Saint John police officer’s interaction with a man is grabbing a lot of attention on social media — but for all the right reasons.
Chris Madsen was the one who took the photo on King Street last Friday morning and posted it to Facebook.
In the caption, he says the officer went up to a man, who appeared to be homeless, and gave him a Tim Horton’s breakfast sandwich and coffee.
The photo had more than 2,700 shares as of Sunday evening.
Our newsroom reached out to Madsen, but he declined an interview, saying the officer was the one who did the good deed.
Saint John police shared the photo to their Twitter account with the caption: “Constable Lyons making a difference in Uptown Saint John. Breakfast was given to one of our down-on-his-luck citizens.”
