The City of Moncton is lending St. Pat’s Family Centre $10,090 to pay staff, and reimburse clients.
Melanie Coté says they are pleased, especially with the decision of the city to take an active leadership role in creating a plan moving forward.
“They woul provide the support to get a business plan, to get an evaluation of the building, an evaluation of the operational parts of St. Pat’s, like financial and everything,” says Coté.
She adds we really need to do something, and their goal in reaching out to the city is to help them “realize we need answers, we need actions, so yeah I’m pretty happy, but we’ll need to see the results to be fully satisfied.”
Councillor Blair Lawrence was the sole member of city council to vote against the motion – stating he was concerned over the unknowns.
