The Chief Electoral Officer for New Brunswick is keeping very busy now that the provincial election campaign is underway.
Kim Poffenroth says they are holding advanced polls on September 15th and 17th for those unable to make it out on September 24th and you can also get a special ballot at your returning office.
As for who can vote?
“Any Canadian citizen who has been ordinarily resident in the province for 40 days come election day and who is 18 years of age as of election day is allowed to vote”, says Poffenroth.
Students have a couple of options according to the Chief Electoral Officer.
“For example, if they are not in their home riding on election day they can vote for either where they normally reside with their parents for example or where they reside where they are going to school,” stated Poffenroth.
