According to a new survey released by Desjardins Insurance, almost a quarter of Canadians do not believe they are in good physical health.
Three out of ten Canadians admitted to not taking part in any sports or physical activities – with 26 percent of respondents saying the cost of such activities would require financial compromise in their budget.
In addition, almost one in five Canadians reported not eating fresh foods regularly and 30 per cent say they don’t pay attention to portion sizes.
The survey also revealed 23 per cent of respondents frequently overeat in order to feel good.
The Health and Wellness Survey polled almost three thousand Canadians between the ages of 18 and 75 this March.
