42-year-old Debra Lee Wilson of Fredericton has been arrested and faces charges in association with recent fraudulent activity in the city.

Fredericton police issued a warning about a spike in reported fake ads on Kijiji for apartment rentals.
The victims were asked to provide a rent deposit before seeing the apartment and that deposit was made either online or in person but in every case, no vacant apartment was ever available.
In some cases, the address advertised didn’t exist.
The Fredericton police force is thankful for the public’s help in this matter.
