Saint John-Rothesay MP Wayne Long says he is committed to running in 2019 in the federal election.
However, he also admits he does have aspirations of leading the New Brunswick Liberal Party, someday.
“Long says “Ten years ago you can see that I mused about wanting to be premier of this province and it’s a goal I will continue to pursue.”
“I recognize in politics that windows open, windows close, right now that window is closed, if the future opens that window, I am certainly interested,” stated Long.
Long feels the provincial Liberal party needs to be rebuilt from the south upwards and is very confident he can reconnect constituents in southern New Brunswick to the Liberal party.
