A 28-year old man from Elsipogtog First Nation has been arrested after a hit and run late this weekend.
Sunday evening, shortly after 7, RCMP members were called to the scene of a collision between a vehicle and a bicycle on Main Street.
The driver of the vehicle left the scene, but was arrested a short time later by police.
The driver was held in custody overnight, and released on a promise to appear in Moncton court April 2nd.
The bicyclist, also a 28-year old man, was taken to hospital with what are believed to be non life threatening injuries.
The investigation is ongoing, and police believe alcohol may have been a factor.
