The City of Dieppe will be building an artificial turf field at École Mathieu-Martin.
City Council adopted a resolution authorizing the staff to continue with the planning of the project during its regular public meeting held on May 27.
The City of Dieppe agreed to contribute a third of the project cost… up to a maximum amount of one million dollars.
The artificial turf field development is conditional to receiving provincial and federal government grants…and a $200,000 contribution from the community.
Luc Bujold is the Manager of the Culture, Leisure and Community Life Department at the City of Dieppe.
He says the committee composed of volunteers is working very hard on the project for Dieppe and are proud to formally commit to the planning process.
“We are working closely with various organizations and community groups to bring this long-anticipated project to life,” he concluded.
Work is ongoing in order to secure the necessary funds to bring this project to fruition and more details will be communicated in the coming months.
