If inflatable games and haunted houses sound is your idea of a good time, you need to visit the Magnetic Hill Zoo.
Their annual ‘Boo at the Zoo’ is happening this weekend and the next and spokesperson Cathy Simon says there’s something for everyone.
“There are lots of Halloween venues spread all around the zoo and they are decorated mostly very friendly and not scary for the younger kids,” she says.
Simon says two of the scarier venues are targeted towards older visitors and aren’t recommended for kids under 14.
“For our visitors that are looking for a really big scare, we do have two very scary venues that are dark and spooky with actors that are going to jump out and it’s a really great time for those that really do love a good Halloween scare,” she says.
There are also a number of photo opportunities throughout the park, including with a number of popular characters.
Regular admission gives you access to most of the festive entertainment organized with help from Friends of the Magnetic Hill zoo.
Money raised during this weekend and the next will be used to upgrade the animal exhibits.
“The most recent habitat that we’ve been able to improve through previous events is our new wolf exhibit that opened this past summer. We appreciate everybody that comes out to attend these events, to come and have a great day at the zoo and help us build some new enclosures in the future,” says Simon.
