You now have online access to your water bill and consumption.
Moncton City spokesperson Melanie Theriault presented the new online portal to council members.
“It’s convenient, easy and it’s 24 hour access to your water consumption. You can track your usage and receive alerts to detect possible leaks in your home or businesses,” she says.
Over the next couple weeks, commercial customers will receive an insert with their next paper bill.
“We’ll also use social media as a means to gain customer access,” says Theriault.
Theriault says all you need is your address and unique customer for set-up, afterwards you’ll be able to log-in with your email address and designated password.
The website includes a number of blue question marks with tip and tricks to help customers learn how to navigate it.
You’ll also be given to option to subscribe to paperless billing through the new feature.
Theriault says this will allow the city to save 10 per cent by eliminating postage expenses.
