The Flip Burger Fest will be back for its third year with 10 more restaurants taking part compared to last year.
This year, 36 restaurants in the Greater Moncton area and Salisbury will offer their special burger creations from January 17 to February 1.
“We have more participants, we’ve also lengthened the festival to 16 days, so you’ll have more chance to try different burgers this year,” said organizer Chad Steeves, who also owned the Tide & Boar Gastropub and Duo Cafe.
The mayor of Moncton is certainly excited, though she says it may be challenging for those watching their calorie intake, post Holiday season.
“This may not be great news for your NY’s resolutions…but so happy that Flip will be back!” she said in a Facebook post.
The festival aims to promote local restaurants in a slower season for the industry. Steeves said there will be a contest for burger eaters this year as well, which will be announced on the festival’s Facebook page next week.
The burgers will cost a minimum of $12.
